San Augustine County, Texas. Clovis, exceptional example found by Robert Sowell on his hunting lease in 1992. Large and broad Ross County style with a sequence of overshot percussion flake scars on one face with fine edge shaping. Waisted at the ground hafting area. Well fluted on both faces. The material is heavily patinated central Texas chert, possibly from the Georgetown area. The patination resembles blue and white waves. Previously collected by Hodge Collection (5-1/8" X 1-7/16")
