Zapata County, Texas. Shumla. Extremely well made example, and large for the area. Made from glossy heat treated translucent brown flint. Heat treatment makes the flint glossy and is common for the type. Probably the best example in the collection. Pictured in The Finest Artifacts of Prehistoric Texas.
