Sabine Parish, Louisiana. Dovetail. Found in the 1970's by Randall Sepulvado near Blue lake and the Sabine River, eroding from the clay on a hillside near Zwolle. Made from Keokuk Chert. Possibly the largest classic example from Louisiana and Texas. Convex blade edges with lower side notches and an expanded stem having a rounded base with ground edges. Fine pressure flaked all over with a medial ridge on each face. Shows some ancient dings and resharpening. Entire relic may Texas flint patinated white? Previously collected by Bill German.
