Sabine County, Texas. Dovetail, fine smooth example made from a tan cobble Chert. Found near the Sabine River in the Toledo bend reservoir vicinity. Perfect well made medium size example. Corner notched with convex basal stem which is heavily ground. Blade has a median ridge on each face with fine pressure flaking. Blade was resharpened in the same fashion as a Scottsbluff, not beveled like in the Woodland style. Previously collected by Bill German (I sold it to German in ‘98 and bought it back 20 years later with all his other Dovetails). (2-11/16" X 1-1/8") E.B
