Cherokee County, Texas. Dovetail, found by J.C. Blond in the 1950's on the Cherokee/Rusk county line, near present Lake Striker, on the Angelina River Basin. Made from a yellow-tan chert with a purple tip. Surface is sand polished. Well made classic example, with median ridges on both faces formed by pressure flake shaping. Upward angled corner notches form a fan shaped stem. Basal edge is ground smooth. Good looking relic! Previously collected by J.C. Blond, Doug Weeks and Bill German (3-1/16" X 1-1/16") E.B
