Hardin County, Texas. Very large and finely made broad-style Scottsbluff point, exhibiting exceptional collateral flaking and fine retouched edge work. Found by Brandon Barclay in January 2019 while spreading dirt with a rake during a landscaping project. The dirt had been hauled from a nearby dirt pit along Village Creek, a tributary of the Neches River. Made from attractive tan, light brown, and gray Uvalde flint, displaying the classic East Texas sand polish. The surfaces show a hazy yellow-cream patina. One of the finest Cody Complex artifacts reported from Texas. Dimensions: 5” × 1-9/16”.
