Smith County, Texas. Polished Drill Oval Gorget. Found at the north Smith County sandpit near HWY. 14 and Interstate 20. Found by Dan Sadler in 2010. Large and very thin smoothed and polished oval shaped gorget. Has three drilled holes through from reverse side where they appear larger. One additional hole was started from this side only but stopped? The reverse side is darker and fluted length ways down centre. Surfaces are well patinated and are highly polished. One of the best I have seen found in east Texas. Previously collected by Dan Sadler, William German (4520). (6-3/8" X 1-15/16") E.B
