Cass County, Texas. Fully Groove Hematite Axe. Found along Flat Creek. Found by Marty Merworth in 2017. Large very well made example. Was pecked out smoothed and polished allover. Fully grooved all around to be hafted. The perfect bit end shows little use wear. Many axes are found from this area along the creek. Previously collected by Marty Merworth. (6-15/16" X 4") E.B
