Upshur County, Texas. Full groove hardstone axe. Found by Lynn Babbs. Found near Gilmer in the bottom of a pond being excavated in the red clay in the 1980's. Large well made example. Was pecked shaped, ground and polished in this shape. Pecking marks visible on butt and in groove. Bitt end is well polished and show some use wear. Previously collected by William M.
